JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited university or college.
  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current CPR – Level C certification.
  • Experience in media relations is an asset.
  • Knowledge of strategies to build effective and mutually respectful community partnerships.
  • Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in social media campaigns is an asset.

JOB CONDITIONS

  • Candidates must complete training.
  • Candidates will not change their employment during the contract period and shall not carry or do business as per the terms of the Canadian visa.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out work in various sexual health clinic locations, TPH offices and various community locations as required. Provides direct care to clients in clinical settings
  • Ensures treatment is adequate for the disease. Ensures compliance with treatment for a reportable disease
  • Identifies, tests and provides follow up of contacts in all appropriate settings including high risk settings
  • Maintains client records and necessary documentation according to the policies and procedures of TPH as well as the Standards of Practice set out by the College of Nurses
  • Mentors and provides orientation and training to new staff, students and peers.
  • Prepares, submits and presents activity reports, data and other reports, e.g., such as documentation, time and activity data collection.
